What is the best and worst decision you have made as a leader?

One of the worst decisions I have ever made was when I was running FCB AUS and we decided that we should incentivise our TL's more on the average of the team's commission and less on their own so they would spend more time assisting their team. Bad idea....TL's commission dropped and we didn't see the teams average increase. After about 8mths we reversed and went back to our normal incentive
structure - Nice one Joell!!!!

A good decision I made was to always make sure that I listen to others ideas and opinions. I dont have all of the answers and my business will only me made greater by weighing up others opinions to then decide the right call for my business.

what advice would you give the next generation of female leader?

Dont be afraid to take risk. Dont be afraid to feel uncomfortable by taking on new challenges that you feel you dont have the skills yet to do the job. Have the confidence to know that your leaders can see that you have the ability to learn and take this business to the next level. Ask plenty of questions and have plenty of thinking time to take your new business to the next level. Always ask for support from those around you to help you be the best that you can be. Its not a sign of weakness to ask for help its in fact the smartest thing you could possibly do.
