The Womenwise movement continues to grow and FCTG can now say the message is extending to customers following the launch of the first external “chapter” in corporate travel management brand, FCM Travel Solutions.
The external chapter, based in Perth, is a first for FCTG as it continues to champion the message of women supporting women with the formation of the Womenwise brand and local committees in many of the regions in which it operates, including Australia, The Americas, UAE, Asia and India.
Hosted by Womenwise committee member and FCM General Manager, Melissa Elf, the event joined FCM’s female leaders with inspirational women from businesses who all partner with the corporate travel leader.
According to Elf, the format pushes the boundaries of typical business networking and instead focuses on vulnerability; sharing stories to allow for more authentic connections to form.“We wanted to create authentic, genuine connections with our customers outside of standard business type events.
“It was also a great way for us to demonstrate to our customers our DNA; Womenwise plays a big role in our leadership development at FCTG and we’re proud to be able to take all we have learned and gathered over the years and start to rally behind the women we work with across organisations, just as we do internally at FCTG,” she said.
The intimate event hosted 25 customers in Perth for a boardroom style lunch with some feminine flair.“Women are screaming out connection and amazing forums like Womenwise and we have now committed to a chapter here in Perth. We’ve also created a Linkedin group for all attendees so we can continue to collaborate and share,” said Elf.
Throughout 2020, FCM will launch Womenwise customer chapters in each Australian major city, all of which will be hosted by Elf and other inspirational female leaders in the business.
