- AMBASSADOR - Over 30 years in the FCTG family spanning twice as many different brands and businesses.

With over 30 years in the FCTG family spanning twice as many different brands and businesses, there is nothing Joell has not turned her hand to and succeeded in.

She has led from the front, mentored and inspired thousands of Flighties… to list her accomplishments would take forever but safe to say that her reputation precedes her and her success, energy and love for this company are legendary.

Don’t be afraid to feel uncomfortable by taking on new challenges that you feel you don’t have the skills yet to do the job.

With the reputation of being the founder of naughty-wise, Joell is so much more than that.

Who better to hear from about:

What is the best and worst decision you have made as a leader?

One of the worst decisions I have ever made was when I was running FCB AUS and we decided that we should incentivise our TL's more on the average of the teams' commission and less on their own so they would spend more time assisting their team. Bad idea... TL’s commission dropped and we didn’t see the teams average increase. After about 8mths we reversed and went back to our normal incentive structure - Nice one Joell!

Don’t be afraid to take a risk

A good decision I made was to always make sure that I listen to others’ ideas and opinions. I don’t have all of the answers and my business will only be made greater by weighing up the opinions of others to then decide the right call for my business

What advice would you give the next generation of female leader?

Don’t be afraid to take a risk. Don’t be afraid to feel uncomfortable by taking on new challenges that you feel you don’t have the skills yet to do the job.

Have the confidence to know that your leaders can see that you have the ability to learn and take this business to the next level.

Ask plenty of questions and have plenty of thinking time to take your new business to the next level. Always ask for support from those around you to help you be the best that you can be. It's not a sign of weakness to ask for help, in fact it’s the smartest thing you could possibly do
